City of Sunnyvale
Las Palmas Park - 850 Russet Drive, Sunnyvale. In 1992, a 1/2 acre site specially designed to allow dogs a place to run off-leash. The park can be accessed by entering the parking lot off of Spinosa Drive at the northern end of the park. The dog park includes a “fido water fountain,” benches for weary owners, and plenty of open space over which to run. Except when closed for maintenance or renovation, it is open 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
City of Mountain View
Shoreline Park - 231 North Whisman Road, Mountain View, CA 94043. The Dog Park is located on the corner of Shoreline Boulevard and North Road, just before the entrance to Shoreline Park. Watch for signs that will direct you to the Dog Park entrance and parking area.
Rengstorff Park – (off-leash with permit)
City of Palo Alto
Mitchell Park - 600 East Meadow (one block west of Middlefield). The exercise area is located at the south side of the park, behind Spangler School.
Greer Park - 1098 Amarillo (at Amarillo and West Bayshore). The exercise area is located at the west side of the park.
Hoover Park - 2901 Cowper (at Cowper and El Dorado). The exercise area is located at the south side of the park, next to the creek. Note: This park will be closed for renovation September 17 through January 17, 2008. Update: February 17 -- park is still closed.
Pearson-Arastradero Preserve - 1530 Arastradero Road, 1/4 mile north of Page Mill Road. Phone: 650-329-2423. Pearson-Arastradero Preserve is a beautiful mixture of rolling savanna grassland and broadleaf evergreen forest. It varies in elevation from 275 feet in the northeast to 775 feet in the southwest. Wildlife abounds on the preserve and it is not uncommon to see deer, bobcats, coyotes, and many varieties of birds. Each area of the preserve has something different to offer, whether it is a view of the bay, a quiet walk through the grasslands, or a snooze by the lake.
Esther Clark Park - Old Trace Road
Foothills Park – The park is located 2.7 miles west of Hwy. 280 at 3300 Page Mill Road. Pearson-Arastradero Preserve and Los Trancos Open Space, the 1,400-acre Foothills Park is a nature lover's paradise. Miles of trails provide access through rugged chaparral, woodlands, fields, streams, a lake, and provide spectacular views of the bay area. Wildlife abounds, and it is common to see deer and coyotes; if you are lucky you might catch a glimpse of a bobcat. Dogs on leash weekdays only. No dogs on weekends or holidays.
Palo Alto Baylands - Bounded by Mountain View and East Palo Alto, the 1,940-acre Baylands Preserve is the largest tract of undisturbed marshland remaining in the San Francisco Bay. Fifteen miles of multi-use trails provide access to a unique mixture of tidal and fresh water habitats.
City of Menlo Park - Nealon Park - 800 Middle Avenue, open 8am to 10am Monday through Friday.
City of Saratoga
The dog park is approximately 14,000 square feet and includes a mixture of artificial turf and crushed granite, a picnic table, a Dogipot litter bag dispenser, two garbage cans and a drinking fountain fit for both humans and dogs.
The park is located away from heavy traffic, making it particularly attractive to dog owners. Built at the end of Graves Avenue off Saratoga Avenue and backed up to the soundwall for Lawrence Expressway, this linear dog park has enough open space for approximately 20 dogs to run and play.

Los Gatos Creek County Park – 1250 Dell Avenue in Campbell
The Dog Park is located within Los Gatos Creek County Park, between the casting ponds and San Tomas Expressway. The Park can be accessed through Los Gatos Creek Park off of Dell Ave. ($5 parking fee) or by pedestrian access via the Los Gatos Creek Trail. The County will is responsible for operations and maintenance of the facility.

Coyote Creek Multiple-Use Trail
Coyote-Hellyer County Park/Shadowbluff Dog Run - Park is located in south San Jose, has set aside two acres inside the park as an off-leash area for dogs. This designated “dog park” can be found at the northeast end or Hellyer Park, near the Shadowbluff group area. This two-acre area is enclosed with a six-foot fence. Benches, shade trees, a lawn, and a drinking fountain are available. Use of the area is free, but a vehicle entrance fee is collected when you enter the park. The dog park is open every day but Wednesday.

Joseph D Grant County Park
Los Alamitos-Calero Creek Park - Located at Winfield Blvd south of Coleman Road east of Almaden Expressway, between Almaden Lake and McKean Road. Los Alamitos/Calero Creek Trail is 3.6 miles and is 2560 acres, has no restroom, has 13 picnic tables, and an exercise course.
Miyuki Dog Park
Miyuki Dog Park is located at the end of Miyuki Drive off Santa Theresa Boulevard. This small dirt area is fenced with a double-gated entry and includes a bench for owners to sit and enjoy their dogs at play. Miyuki also features a pooper-scooper dispenser for your convenience. Be sure to take water for your dog, as there are no fountains available.
Penitencia Creek County Park 3050 Berryessa Rd, San Jose, CA 95132
The Penitencia Creek Trail follows the creek through central and east San José. Most of the trail is paved and is currently open between Mabury Road and Noble Road. The trail provides access to Penitencia Creek Park and includes access to County open space.
William Street Park – the location of the yearly Bark in the Park event.
City of Santa Clara
Central Park – on-leash only. The park is on Kiely Blvd and Homestead Road and Benton Street.
Santa Clara Dog Park is on the corner of Pomeroy Avenue and Lochinvar Street, near Lawrence Expressway and Homestead Road.
Reed Street Dog Park
The Reed Street Dog Park is a 1.5 acre City park that is the only City park that allows dogs to run off-leash. All other City parks require owners to have their dogs on a six foot leash at all times.
Separate fenced areas are provided at the Reed Street Dog Park for large and small dogs (small dogs are a maximum of 18" in height at the shoulder) with each area providing grassy mounds, water, benches, trees, plastic bags, garbage cans and a shade structure. Parking areas and a portable restroom are included in the park amenities. Additional park rules and regulations are posted at the park. Hours of operation are sunrise to sunset daily with the park closed on Thursdays for maintenance.

The "Its Beach" is located down the stairs at the bottom of the cliff and is fenced in by cliffs.
Mitchell’s Cove Beach
Dogs are allowed off-leash on Mitchell's Cove Beach between sunrise and 10 am and from 4 pm to sunset. They must be on-leash during other hours. The beach is along West Cliff Drive between Woodward and Almar. While off-leash dogs must be under voice control.
Twin Lakes State Beach, East Cliff Drive
This beach is one of the area's warmest beaches, due to its location at the entrance of Schwann Lagoon. Dogs are allowed on leash. The beach is located just south of the Santa Cruz Harbor where Aldo's Restaurant is located. Fire rings for beach bonfires, outdoor showers and restrooms are available. It is open from sunrise to sunset. To get there from Hwy 17 south, exit Ocean Street on the left towards the beaches. Merge onto Ocean Street. Turn left onto East Cliff Drive and stay straight to go onto Murray Street. Murray Street becomes Eaton Street. Turn right onto 7th Avenue.
